John came out and he thoroughly checked my garage motor, door, etc. He was very professional, explained things in layman’s terms, recommended what needs to be replaced and/fixed, but did not push me to get them. I even asked if he can do the job any other day cause of the heat wave, but he said he’ll still do it. Hire this company!! Shout out to John, he did a great job replacing my garage motor, installing new springs and installing the keyholes so I can open the garage manually as well. He wasn't trying to "sell" anything, he was just trying to solve my problem at the best budget with the criteria I gave him. I would recommend to others. First, these folks installed the garage doors and opener in 2008. Called them to replace the opener due to the deteriorated belt after all this time. Excellent service in the phone. Just what I needed, answered my questions about a consultation and felt good about the scheduled visit. The technician Matthew was prompt and texted me with ETA--on a Sunday, no less. Even in this oppressive 95 degree weather, Matthew was polite and gave me all the choices with an honest review of each option to replace the belt versus the entire garage door opener. Opted for the choice that he had on-hand. Gave me a 1.5 hr time to complete and beat it by half. Matthew explained that for an opener as old that the spring would be the next foreseeable repair by virtue of age. I will definitely call Good Guys Garage Doors when the time comes. Am pleased with the opener and the service from the moment I reached out. Thank you!

We appreciated Chris, who estimated the project, and explained the ins and outs of replacing a garage door, and was so professional, friendly and informative. And we were very impressed by Matthew and his co-worker who worked on the hottest day of the summer to install the door. Both fellows were extremely diligent workers. Megan and Tatiana were very helpful on the phone however I really chose Good Guys because of Chase, he was outstanding, honest and hardworking. The only Fix-It advice I could give would be on the estimate set up they use. Chase gave me an estimate while he was here based off of my Needs & Wants which was very helpful however then I got a new email with new estimates where things were moved around and not set to my needs. I did have to call back and get an exact estimate for what I wanted. I suggest leaving the estimates that were provided at the initial meet for the customer to utilize, when they come behind and change it it makes you feel like you're not being heard. Again, I absolutely love the customer service I was provided and we'll definitely be referring family to Good Guys!

I called Sears Garage Solutions in the afternoon when my garage door wouldn't open. The dispatcher, Megan, was very helpful and arranged a service call between 4 and 7 PM that day. The technician, Kevin Lindeman, showed up at 4PM and quickly gave me the options and prices. I choose repairing my existing drive. Kevin quickly replaced the gear mechanism and lubed all the friction points in the drive and the garage door. He then fixed several things for the original price; he remounted a bracket that was pulling out of the wood, he added a cross brace and a ceiling bolt to reduce vibration, and he installed a bolt to prevent one side from coming off the track. My opener is now quieter and smooth. I am delighted with the service, the price and the quick response.

My garage door was operating erratically. I called Sears and they sent out a repair tech named Kevin. Kevin professionally assessed the problem and recommended a solution. Because parts were not on hand he had to order them. Upon his return he not only fixed my garage door opener but he helped me program the remotes in my two vehicles. He also replaced the remote and the outside remote and programmed both. He helped me with making certain that the ADT Pulse System garage door opener interface functioned properly. Finally he recommended light replacements for the unit and installed the ones I gave him. Finally, he lubricated and inspected the door, fittings, spring assembly, chain drive and the motor on the main unit drive. I call that full professional service. I thank Kevin and Sears for such great support.

Our garage door has been a little bit of trouble intermittently so we decided to call Chris at Sears. The evening before Chris was to arrive here for a tuneup two of the main cables in the garage door snapped. We were able to secure the garage and close it for the evening. We left a telephone message on their website late that night saying could we get someone in the morning. Sure enough like clockwork Tatiana at the office called and assign Chris to us later that day. Chris arrived on time even with an email alerting us to his estimated time of arrival. He showed me different options, we selected the best way for us to go replacing rollers fixing the cables and adjusting the garage door.
